It’s a myth that woman above 40 cannot get pregnant. If you are fit and practicing a healthy life style you can be a mother after 40. The wrong assumption about over 40 pregnancies is that – woman who conceives after the age of 40 are more prone to conditions such as diabetes and premature delivery.
Some people say that woman who conceives late will deliver through a c-section and will give birth to children with birth defects. None of the assumptions about childbirth over 40 has scientific basis.
I believe that getting pregnant after 40 is an ideal age, because you are more mature and can maintain sound prenatal care. The easiest step to have childbirth over 40 is to maintain healthy diet plan.
A woman needs to intake proper amount of proteins, vitamins, iron and folic acid to get pregnant. It is advised to avoid sea food and undercooked raw poultry food items. You should eat fresh fruits and vegetables, check your body weight regularly, drink lot of water and plan a good workout regime.
