Whether it’s from the bottle or the breast, choosing the best way to feed your child is one of the most important decisions mothers have to make for their newborn. Though traditionalists advise that breastfeeding is still best for your baby, even modern mothers are discovering that breastfeeding is also best on the budget.

Breastfeeding saves you the effort and the expense of buying a constant supply of formula. With newborns feeding as often as twelve times per day, you can be sure that whatever hassle you’re avoiding by buying formula is transferred to the amount of money and time you’ll be spending at the store. Don’t worry about the baby’s feeding time getting too much in the way of your schedule, as soon as your body settles into the habit of breastfeeding you can save some breast milk for later with a handy breast pump.

Despite the many developments in infant formula, nutritionists still cite breastfeeding as the best source of nourishment for your baby. Experts recommend breastfeeding for as long as you and your baby are able. And with breast milk lasting up to ten hours in room temperature, you can be sure to have constant supply ready for your little one.

1.	Eat/drink proper healthful/ food/juice; avoid sweets, junk food and fizzy drinks.
2.	Consult your doctor for the birth method right for you. Consult sooner and/when necessary to avoid last minute decisions. (There are a number of methods nowadays).
3.	Do not self medicate and avoid taking chances.
4.	Do regular exercise (don’t overdo) to keep fit
5.	Prepare and get your “goody” bag ready for that hospital date.
6. Get yourself on the move immediately after birth to get back to shape or as per your doctor’s advice.

It is your doctor who will determine what is medically right for you to deliver your baby. It is of course intelligent to know what the methods are as per your doctor’s advice.
Methods of Childbirth
1.	Vaginal delivery or normal method is the most common and safest type of childbirth.
2. Forceps delivery- used to help guide the baby through birth canal
3. Vacuum delivery- A plastic cup is used to the baby’s head to gently pull the baby.
4.	Caesarean delivery may be necessary if the following complications arise:
a.	The baby is in distress
b.	The baby is too large to pass through the pelvis
c.	The baby is not in the head-down position

Isn’t it wise for pregnant women to get themselves prepared with answers for questions doctors are more likely to ask during that first check-up?
Here are some of the questions:
1.	Are you suffering from any disease or do you or your husband/family have history of family illness like heart disease, asthma?
2.	Do you have any allergies or allergic reactions to antibiotics or any other drugs or medication?
3.	When was your last menstruation (for delivery date purposes)?
4.	Have you had any excessive bleeding, nausea spells, temporary blindness or any disease during your prior pregnancies? (For second timers, etc.)
Questions are generally about family history of yourself and your husband so it is just wise to research beforehand to maximize care and awareness.

Just because you have a baby on the way doesn’t mean you have to throw your wardrobe out the window. But it also doesn’t mean that you have to invest a fork load of cash on a whole closet worth of new clothes. Here are some clever tips for saving money on maternity clothes:

1. Inventory Your Clothes – Take some time to look at what you already own and you’ll be surprised at how many clothes you’ll still be able to wear. Keep a look out for low-waist, empire-waist and gartered clothing. It might mean changing your current style, but at least you won’t have to pay for clothes you’ll only be wearing for a few months.

2. Shop Smart – Looking for discounts and bargains go without saying, but buying maternity clothes that are too trendy might end up backfiring on you. Try to pick clothes that won’t easily go out of style once the next little one comes around. Stick to plainer, solid designs that are easier to accessorize with jewelry, shawls, handbags, coats and jackets.

3. Maternity Bands – This ingenious little belly band was designed especially for women who still want the option of wearing their own clothes without the hassle of having them altered. This gartered accessory goes over your waist and covers the loose buttons of your jeans so you can still wear your favorite pants even as your baby bump grows with time.

There is a belief that breast feeding will protect from pregnancy. But it is not so, many women become pregnant while breast feeding. Lots of women think that they have to wean their baby because of getting pregnant during breast feeding, but it is not necessary. You just have to decide to nurse both the babies after pregnancy.

The following are some facts that you have to know about breast feeding during pregnancy and decide upon:
•	It might stimulate uterine contractions and in very few cases it might lead to miscarriage.
If you have already undergone a miscarriage or you feel unusual uterine contractions then it is wise to stop feeding by consulting this with your doctor.
•	You will experience more fatigue, but you can overcome this by rest more.
•	You will have to eat more nutritious foods to support the unborn baby’s nutritional need.
•	Your nipples may become more tender than normal and you can overcome this discomfort by shifting your baby’s position.
•	You will feel that the amount of breast milk supply is getting decreased during your second trimester. Hence at this stage, you to take more nutritious food to feed your baby.
•	Sometimes the taste of the breast milk may get changed and it may not be liked by some babies.

Many pregnant women are seen hunting for jobs during their crucial phase of life. Expecting mothers should not get depressed or worried about working and careers. Your pregnancy should not stop you from going for work.

The tips to hunt for a job during the pregnancy –

When you plan your interview call, it’s important to convey the corporate about your delivery or expected date and also the expected time for you to return back to the work. You can also tell how well you can manage a new born and work simultaneously. These things are important to discuss in advance. Make sure your delivery date is not the prime focus of your discussion during your interview call.

When hunting for a job, it’s important to discuss about the maternity leaves. Ask whether maternity leaves are paid leaves or not.

If you want to spend time with your new born and do not want to work for few months after your delivery than it’s advised to seek job in temporary organizations. There are some temporary agencies which are very flexible in recruiting employees for short duration.

Another job option during the pregnancy is teaching. You can teach in government schools for short duration.

Most of the women around the globe are worried about pregnancy water breaking. The question which boggles their mind is- when it will my water break? Or how will I know about it?

From the beginning of your pregnancy, the water that protects your baby from infection is known as amniotic fluid. The common question asked my expecting mothers is – how to tell if my water breaks?

How to notice water break? When you notice a popping sensation and continuous leak of water (amniotic fluid) through your vagina, you should immediately call your doctor to know what to do next.

The best tip to tell about your water break is to keep an eye on the discharge. If the color of the fluid is brown or green than call your doctor and tell him about your water break.

Water break may happen when you are close to the delivery date. This is a sign that the baby is finally on his way. Make sure your hospital bags are packed and your delivery kit is available.

Remember, when you experience water break never take a bath to clean yourself. It’s advised to use sanitary pads to clean your self.

Finally, I just want to say all the best to deliver a new life!
