Breast feeding your baby twice or thrice a day is important because it uses all your stored fats. This can help you to burn more than 500 calories every day. While breast feeding your baby, you should take care of your diet as it helps to stabilize your metabolism. To take care of yourself and your baby, you should eat in short breaks and make sure you consume nutritious food. To ensure the health of your breast feeding baby, lessen your intake of caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes as these products are harmful and can damage the infant’s health. Here are some breast feeding diet tips for you-
Intake green vegetables and fruits.
Drink eight to ten glass of water every day.
Consume prenatal vitamins.
Avoid smoking.
Eat fiber rich food products such as oats, nuts, frozen grapes and carrot dipped in guacamole.

Health studies have shown that health and diet of breast feeding mother should be taken care as it helps her breast feeding abilities, this will improve her breast-milk nutrients on which her new born is wholly dependent for growth and development. If a breast feeding mother does not get sufficient nutrients from her diet then she will not be able to produce milk.

A mother should avoid intakes of caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes as these products are harmful and can damage the infant’s health.
